When a critical mass of dancers in a room start moving, amazing things transpire! This class and dance will help us connect, relax, blend, drop in, express, expand into the synergistic brilliance of the room.
Wear good clothes to move in with others ~ not scratchy, or too fragile or with dangles to get caught in.
There is a specific part of the brain that only works when we flock because we schooled for millions of years as fish, and we still have that talent in our reptilian brain/basal ganglia. Crazy! It's an amazing, strangely focusing and pleasurable rush, my favorite aspect of all dance, with many very short improvised meetings ~ a combination of contra dance and being a sardine getting smushed out of a can fast!
Here's quite a good contact lesson!
If you wanna get a quick intro to all levels of contact at once, check out this super sweet video showing the genius of release.
This Event is part of the Tuesday Free-Forum in Fremont.
While I dance I cannot judge,
I cannot hate, I cannot separate myself from life.
I can only be joyful and whole.
That is why I dance.
